I'm Cecelia Trueblood. I have just retired from my job as guidance director at Martinsville High School. Having started teaching 38 years ago, Twenty-eight of which have been in Martinsville, I taught almost every grade level, including special education and loved it all.
I am married to John, have two step children, two adopted children and 5 grandchildren. An 11 yr old granddaughter lives with us and trail rides on Gladly, my rocky mountain mare. I have seven horses: An Arab mare AMarettahhh (Gladly), a three-year-old rocky gelding (Sedona), a two-year-old rocky gelding (Dakota), a two-year-old part Arab, quarter horse, a half-rocky (Raffles) and two miniatures (Morgana and Prancer). We love them all!
Our 13 acre farm in Martinsville is for sale so that we can move to our 100 acre farm in Spencer where we plan to spend our "golden" years. I will miss the closeness to my good horse buddies Meg Lind and Peg Furniss! But maybe they will come to my farm to ride our many trails.
I am looking forward to seeing many "red hat" ladies in Martinsville for the parade.
