Happy days are here again! For 30+ years I was not enjoying the aroma of our equine friends - Thanks to Terri Cross for getting me into Red Hats and Purple Chaps.
When I was 3 years old, I sat on a horse, and that was the beginning, Shetland ponies, Little Acres Saddle Club, Parses’ Stable in Monticello, and contesting my mare during high school. She was sold when I started college, but the horse bug had bitten me bad.
After college, I purchased my first quarter horse mare, and others came later. I showed their colts, sold then, and others did the promoting! My last colt by Two Eyed Jack was sold in 1974, but, because of RHPC, in 2005, I have an 18 year old quarter mare, which I will ride while wearing my red hat, purple pants, and red bootS!

Regardless of age I imagine we have all felt:
Horses, horses I love them all.
I see them standing in their stall
And wish that maybe there's some way
I could have a horse to ride all day.
I love to watch then fighting the reins
And see the wind flow through their mane.
I'd love to sit in a bright new saddle
And ride my horse through a herd of cattle. |
